The East is a series of U.S. sitcom on television, first on ABC on September 30, 2009. The exhibition of Frances "Frankie" Heck (née Spence, Patricia Heaton), a middle class, Midwestern woman married to Mike Heck (Neil Flynn), who lives in the fictional small town Orson, Indiana. They are the parents of three children, Axl, Sue and Brick. The show was repeated for an entire season of 22 episodes to air after only two episodes. On January 10, 2011, the series was renewed for a third season on ABC. The season premiered with a one-hour episode of September 21, 2011.

Synopsis:

Frankie's parents, Pat (Marsha Mason) and label (Jerry Van Dyke) invites Hecks spend a few days at home to celebrate Thanksgiving together. But the party begins to crumble quickly when Frankie sister, Janet (Molly Shannon) and his family also joined, and soon the brothers are at odds over their techniques of parenting very different. Meanwhile, Mike tries to give some advice on how to pick Axl girls when you witness your child trying to impress a beautiful mini-mart cash - and fails miserably
